The Center for Visual Artists hosts a virtual exhibition and sale highlighting the wide array of Greensboro artists; who they are and what they make.
Normally, this exhibit is an in-person salon-style exhibit in our gallery at the Cultural Center. This crazy year? We didn't feel good about inviting hundreds of people in to drop off artwork and network at an in-person opening. In fact, even if we had WANTED to make that terrible decision, we couldn't have: Until recently, the Cultural Center was largely closed to the public.
So this year, it's the We ART Greensboro exhibit: 2020 Virtual Edition. Things are a bit different:
- Each artist was allowed to submit multiple works, and they have virtual mini-portfolios online for the duration of this exhibit.
- The exhibit is a living, changing show. As things sell, artists will replace with new work (so come back soon for another look).
- We'll be having discussions with participating artists each week (Fridays at Noon with some special late night sessions), hosted by our own Karen Archia from Public Art Practice. Tune in to our instagram @centerforvisualartists and Facebook every Friday at noon for a lunchtime talk!

We Art Greensboro Artist Conversations
The We Art Greensboro virtual show is live online, and The CVA has partnered with Public Art Practice (PAP) to bring you the scoop on the exhibit’s participating artists.
Greensboro artist and PAP’s Creative Director Karen Archia, is hosting one-on-one conversations, live on our social media platforms each Friday @ noon until mid- December, with occasional bonus, nighttime interviews Friday evenings @ 9 pm.
“Public Art Practice’s mission to make art and art-making accessible to everyone and to encourage people to center art and creativity in their everyday lives,” Archia said. “By talking directly with artists about their process and why they create, it helps people make those connectIons and just simply learn about all the super talented folks who live right here in our community.”
Archia is also a participating artist in the We Ary Greensboro virtual exhibit.
Stay tuned to CVA’s Instagram feed and Facebook page for more info and to watch the interviews.
