The CVA’s exhibition calendar is determined by our staff and/or guest curators. Watch newsletters and our social media pages for Calls for Artists and other exhibition-related announcements. We do periodically seek our member artists’ suggestions for exhibits—to propose a show, please fill out our Propose an Exhibit form online.
CVA Member Artists are offered the opportunity to show in at least two open exhibitions each calendar year as part of their membership. Other exhibits may require additional entry fees and exhibit criteria.
All artwork must be original, completed within the last 24 months, and not have been previously shown in the CVA Gallery. Work submitted must be available for the show during the entire length of the scheduled exhibition and—unless specifically discussed with CVA Gallery staff—be for sale. Our standard commission structure is 60% artist, 40% CVA.
When dropping work off for an exhibit, you will be asked to sign a contract with CVA. We will also ask for your tax ID number or social security number so we can properly account for sales.
Entry fees, when assessed, are due at the time of submission and are non-refundable.
We reserve the right to reproduce images of all artwork for promotional purchases.
We reserve the right to reject any entry that is not suitable for display.
The CVA Gallery has authority over selection and hanging of all pieces in all exhibitions.
