Don Stewart has created an astounding amount of art in his life. For over 20 years, his work has been in the field of illustration with nearly 100 of his paintings being published as book covers for clients like HarperCollins, Macmillan, Moody Press, Pocket Books and Scholastic. Countless paintings have also been published as illustrations for magazines, advertising, children’s books and textbooks. Since 2006, Don has devoted himself to creating works of fine art and he is equally accomplished at rendering people, landscapes and still lifes. Don has several years of experience working with elementary school students in the Guilford County Schools After-School Care Enrichment Services program. Also, since 2006 he has taught drawing and oil painting for the Continuing Education Department of Guilford Technical Community College and has developed a solid insight on how to help artists of all ages successfully draw and paint what they see. Don received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
