About Our Gallery

SPECIAL NOTE: PHYSICAL LOCATION CLOSED, BUT WE'RE *OPEN*
As of April 1, 2020, our facilities in the Downtown Greensboro Cultural Center remain closed due to COVID-19 regulations.
We will be offering as much online programming as possible for adults and children for the duration of the closure.
We are optimistic that we will re-open this summer and be able to continue with our regular in-person exhibits and workshops...in addition to some virtual offerings.
If you'd like to be part of a virtual art exhibit, let us know. Email gallery@greensboroart.org or contact us on social media.
During Normal, Non-Coronavirus Times
In our spacious, modern gallery on the 2nd floor of the Greensboro Cultural Center, we focus on providing exhibits that fulfill one or more of these goals:
- Provide local artists opportunities to show and sell their work
- Expose artists and the general public to artwork that informs, educates, and/or challenges them
- Encourage local artists to collaborate with one another and develop their professional and artistic skills
- Provide a platform for individual local artists to move onto greater exposure and success
Along with well-thought-out exhibitions, we provide artist-focused discussions and workshops, networking opportunities for artists and art lovers, and pop-up workshops in a variety of media. We seek to facilitate growth and professional development for local-area artists, strengthen bonds between the CVA and the local community, and encourage the public to engage with the visual arts.
UP NEXT IN THE GALLERY: Check Back Soon for Updates
We had it all planned...out through 2021. Then, CORONAVIRUS. We're doing our best with the information we know now. Our plan is to resume with the Maggie Fickett: Living in Plein Air exhibit as soon as the Cultural Center (and therefore, our gallery) are open again.
