ABOUT: Bill is a working potter in Greensboro, NC. Before completing his ceramic training as a potter’s apprentice in Seagrove, NC, Bill graduated with a degree in architecture from the University of Michigan Taubman School of Architecture. While his functional pots reference the pure geometries of modern design, they are fluid in execution and take full advantage of the raw beauty of clay.
CREDENTIALS: Bill has taught and assisted in a variety of classes and workshops. He was a resident artist at STARworks Center for Creative Enterprise and a teaching assistant at Penland School of Crafts. He is experienced in many different making and firing techniques. Alongside the clay, students will keep a sketchbook and work on designing their work and finding their voice as a maker.
