Fall programs run from August - Decemeber. New Adult/Teen Programs including, additional Pottery classes, Jewelry and Fused Glass workshops, Drawing and Painting series, and more.

ADULT PROGRAMS

Our adult classes range from 1-day workshops to 6 or 8 week medium specific classes. These classes are for the artists and non-artists ages 16 & up. Classes are taught by local artists and/or art educators. Class offerings vary throughout the year. We offer an adult/teen art class or workshop every day of the week (except Sundays.)

Interested in a medium or art form you don’t see offered? Have at least 6 people with the same interest? Give us a call and we will do our best to invent a class that suits your need, (336) 333-7475.

TEEN PROGRAMS
Teens 16 & up are welcome to participate in Adult classes, but the CVA also offers programs just for teens.

Los Artistas (ages 13 - 18) is a program for local middle and high school Spanish-speaking students that focuses on exploring ones own history and place in the modern world through the visual arts. Class is held each Saturday from 12:30pm - 2:30pm for FREE. Call (336) 333-7475 for details.

The 2010 - 2011 Los Artistas program is still looking for supporters to keep this program free to the participants. Please call if you or your business is interested. Los Artistas needs your help!

Teen Pottery (grades 6th - 12th) - After-School for Teens
This class is a self-guided ceramic class where the instructor acts more like a mentor artist and provides a general curriculum that the participants can utilize to explore their own creative process using clay. The instructor will introduce lessons on wheel-throwing, hand-building, and glazing. Class meets Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:30pm - 6pm.
